Queens Assemble…Up at The O2 Announces New Event Series, Drag Up at The O2

Up at The O2 has today announced the launch of an all-new event series, ‘Drag Up at The O2’ set to make your September sparkle. Offering fans the chance to watch as the cultural phenomenon of drag is taken to new heights, Drag Up at The O2 is the first ever series of drag performances to take place on top of the world’s number one music, entertainment and leisure venue.

 

The popular outdoor attraction has teamed up with Glamazon drag queen Herr to host the series, during which she will perform an unmissable interactive act, against a backdrop of 360-degree, panoramic views of the capital. Visitors will experience a thrilling climb up to the roof of The O2, where they can sip on a glass of Champagne Lanson at the summit whilst enjoying Herr’s performance, before embarking on their descent to Base Camp. Better get practising lip-syncing or Sashay Away.

 

Winner of the Not Another Drag Competition: All Stars, Herr is widely known for slaying the drag circuit as a pop culture queen, starring in a Girls Aloud tribute band, Gals Aloud, and hosting her very own Amy Winehouse tribute evenings. Herr will be serving her fabulous diva energy at Drag Up at The O2 for an evening of fun and fierceness.

 

The events will take place at 7pm and 7.30pm on Thursday 2^nd, 9^th, 16^th and 23^rd September with tickets priced at £40 per person. Tickets are available now on O2 Priority and will go on general sale on Friday 6 August at 9am. Each ticket includes an outdoor climb led by one of Up at The O2’s expert guides, who are on hand to provide interesting facts and local knowledge. Climbers will also receive a complimentary glass of Champagne Lanson at the summit as well as extended time on the roof to enjoy a first-of-its-kind drag performance. Soft drinks also available.
