Take That break own record for most shows performed at The O2
On Wednesday night (1st May 2024), Take That completed a six-night residency of their This Life on Tour and were presented with an award for a record-breaking 39 performances at The O2, the world’s most popular live entertainment, leisure, and retail destination. The record, which was previously held by the band after they played their 33rd show in 2019, tops any other artist that has performed at the venue.
The band has now sold over 600,000 tickets for their shows at The O2 and 2024’s residency was brought to life by a 16-piece brass band performing Take That songs for guests on arrival. In addition, a merchandise store was opened within Outlet Shopping at The O2, selling exclusive Take That designed t-shirts and posters.
Take That said: “We can’t believe we’ve the record for the most shows by an artist at The O2! We are so proud of every tour we’ve brought to this venue and are so grateful for all the fans who continue to come and see us here. Thank you London and to everyone at The O2 for always making us feel so welcome.”

The award which is created with Jesmonite, a sustainable material which can be crushed and reused, features imagery of Take That’s shows at the venue, along with a piece of The O2’s own tent fabric.
